Vintage wood log trinket box from Wisconsin Dells

Here we have a vintage wood log topped wood trinket box from Wisconsin Dells. The box is in good vintage condition. The box features a wood log hard top, hinged with metal decoration hardware. It has semi arched wood notched sides and two metal hardware handles on the sides. Theres a metal hardware lock and two frontal decoration hardware pieces. I do not know what type of wood it is. It shows signs of age in the lacquer over the years. The hardware is tarnished and oxidized. It has some horizontal splitting in the front and back; normal for age. The inside is fairly cleas. It has a split in the wood at the bottom. The wood at the bottom has a knot so that could have something to do with the split. Age is what makes this a handsome piece. It has Wisconsin Dells printed on the front bottom. Measures 10" X 6.5".
