vintage BARBRA STREISAND 1966 Concert Poster 22x14 Original

Description

Broadside announcing the appearance of Barbra Streisand at Festival Field in Newport, Rhode Island, on July 30, 1966. The poster features a full-length image of Streisand and notes "An Occasion in Newport/One Performance Only." The concert in Newport, titled "An Evening with Barbra Streisand," was the first stop on her short 1966 four-concert tour, as she was expecting her first child in December of that year. According to news accounts the next day, Streisand received a thunderous standing ovation from the 17,000 fans in attendance after she sang twenty songs and had given two hilarious monologs. She ended her performance by telling the crowd, "Thank you. Thank you for coming to see such a schlep." The broadside (14 x 22 inches), printed on cardboard stock
