    Description

    Up for purchase is a rare vintage 1950s handpainted Mexican circle skirt.  Made by Tipicano from cotton with painted tall palm tree designs with scattered sequin & bead accents. Stretch waist measures approximately 14-17 1/2" across.  Skirt length is approximately 31 1/2".  Sweep is 248"!   Waistband has band replaced with an elastic band.  There is a faint, yellowish mark near the hem & there may be a few loose or missing sequins or beads.  Otherwise skirt shows light wear consistent with age.  Great for casual, cruise, party, cocktail, or evening wear or ballroom or swing dance.  Would look good with or without a crinoline.  From my own private collection.
