Description
The Edwardian era was a long one. Not so different from the Victorian era. Female waists were still as small as could be managed, and the skirt was long and bell shaped. This skirt is a very good example, small waist band, with gathered skirt, single button closure and no zipper, hooks or buttons. Skirt has several tiers of pin tucking of various sizes, followed by 4 inches of intricate crochet with more pin tucking more crochet and a embroidered ruffle sewn to a partial underskirt. The underskirt is sewn above the first row of crochet, there is no lining. No label, or pockets, the waist band was taken in by 1/2 inch.Measures: 26" waist, 40" hips, from waist to hem 32"
