Untitled DocumentVictorian Civil War Era 1860s Green Plaid Silk Skirt Ruffle Bottom Dress Fabric Remnants
This antique Victorian Civil War era green plaid silk skirt ruffle bottom dress fabric remnants date from the 1860s. It is hand stitched made of a green fine silk fabric with a black and white checkered plaid pattern design. This gorgeous green silk fabric remnants were part of a Civil War era full hoop skirt gown and include the bottom layered ruffle trim skirt hem cut along the top, sewn into a circle with a dark green and light brown polished cotton fabric backing lining underneath and measures 16 inches wide, 110 inches in circumference. Also included is a matching remnant fabric piece sewn together with seams on the back, perhaps a skirt panel which has been cut, unlined and measures 71 inches long, 22 inches wide. The fabric is in fair as-is condition with some fade discoloration, small faint stains, frayed rips and tiny pin holes scattered throughout both pieces (see close-ups). Great for upcycling to be created into something new or used on a restoration project. This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana fabric!
