RARE & FAB Authentic 1800s Victorian Wire Hoop BUSTLE Cage Crinoline Skirt.
Wide cotton strips give the attached hoops their structure.
20 wire hopes are tightly covered with material I believe is a cotton type tape.
No missing, broken or repaired wires. The wires at the bottom of the cage are slightly bent.
There are rust marks where the wires penetrate fabric, and some very minor stains here and there. There are patches of discoloration on the coating of some wires, particularly at the bottom of the cage.
Waistband is frayed at the point where it connects with the buckle. (See photos)
Cage is approximately 30” long, 25” in diameter at the bottom of the skirt and has a waistband of 25” from buckle to frayed end.
Remarkably good condition for its age.
Stored where there are no pets, no smoking.
