    Description

Here is a vintage Turnable Apple Parer (peeler) made by Lockey & Howland.  The parer shows it was patented June 17 and Dec 16, 1856.   It stands about 6 inches tall when measured from the bold that would fasten the peeler to a counter or table top.  The mechanism works well as the handle is turned.  There is some wear and signs of rubbing on the black painted metal.  Please see pictures and ask any questions.
