NWT! Vtg 70s CHESSA DAVIS PLAID PRAIRIE SKIRT Cottagecore New! Boho Hippy sz MWe absolutely LOVE this vintage 70s Chessa Davis skirt! Davis' design aesthetic relied heavily on the prairie styles of the late 19th and early 20th century that rose to popularity in the 1970s. This fantastic skirt is a great example of that aesthetic. Made with a cotton / poly blend, the skirt has three layers of fabric: a bottom muslin layer trimmed in pretty lace, a second more gauze looking layer that is very full so it naturally ruffles underneath the third layer of fabric. This top layer is made of blue and white plaid fabric with an abstract flower motif painted over the top. This layer is also embellished with pretty lace and playful ric rac running down the sides and trimming the bottom of the skirt. Davis included a matching sash to tie at the waist. This skirt fastens in back with a zipper.
Remarkably, this skirt was purchased in the 1970s, then carefully stored without ever being worn. It still has the original department store sales tag attached and is in mint new condition!
The original size of this skirt was large, but it fits like a contemporary medium. Because every figure is different, please...
