The TIME MACHINE Series CL-1970 is a new attempt by MASTER 8.
Vintage cell picks have been attracting attention among vintage guitar freaks.
It took a long time to develop this product, and Master 8 has elaborately recreated the actual vintage picks by using a special process that makes it look like a time slip from the current products.
The difference is the hardness of the core material. It is not the thickness but the hardness of the material itself that is the key.
Cellulose hardens easily when it comes into contact with air, so the longer it is manufactured, the harder it becomes. It means the material is difficult to store for a long period of time, so the number of vintage picks in good condition is decreasing every year.
The hardness of the core has a great effect on the rise of the sound and greatly influences the picking nuance, making a big difference that even beginners can identify.
Since the difference in hardness can also be seen in the different colors, the set is available in three colors: black, white, and tortoiseshell.
The ''1970'' in the manufacturing name refers to the year when Ikeda Kogyo, Inc., the headquarters of MASTER 8, started manufacturing guitar picks.
