This is one 4 ounce tube of Food Grade Lubricant, used to lubricate the hopper seals, auger shafts, auger shaft bushings and seals on the Ultra and CDS machines as well as the O-rings on the CDS faucet.  Every time you remove the hoppers for cleaning you need to use this lubricant where the large clear silicone seal and hopper meet, between the clear silicone nose bushing and auger shaft, and the black rubber o-rings on the CDS faucet (remember to never lubricate the faucet gasket on the Ultra machines).  When you change the auger shaft bushings and seals (every six months) you need this to lubricate the auger shaft with this lubricant.
Additionally when performing the six month periodfc maintenance on the machine, this lubricant is used on the end of the auger shaft where it exits the cooling drum (opposite end from the motor connection).  This is a key lubrication point to prevent the auger shaft seal from losing traction with the walls of the cooling drum, spinning, and the coming lose and falling out of the cooling drum.  This causes all of your product to run out the back of the machine.
This lubricant is mineral-oil based, and is safe for humans to consume.  Never use any other type of lubricants on any part of the machine that comes in to contact with your product.  This means use this lubricant everywhere on your CDS or Ultra machine where lubrication is needed except for the connection between the auger motor shaft and auger shaft (behind the hoppers -- this shaft-to-shaft connection does not come into contact with the product and requires a special white lubricant called Krytox that comes in a little red cap).
This is also the correct lubricant to use on any food equipment that requires lubrication, including ice cream machines, slicers, and any equipment that contacts food.
Haynes Lubri-Film is a heavy duty sanitary lubricant with high load bearing, low friction properties. This lubricant is authorized by the NSF (rated H1) for use in food processing plants for incidental food contact. All ingredients are FDA approved.
Haynes Lubri-Film provides a protective coating to all metal parts. A thin film will retain effectiveness on bearings, slides, and other lubricated surfaces despite moisture. By staying on the work area, corrosion of metal is minimized. This sanitary lubricant is highly resistant to separation or bleed. It will not dry or gum on your equipment.
