Groovy 1970s Vintage 100% Cotton Velveteen TANGIERS Skirt - Mod Sz 6 - Hourglass

Delightful 1970s 100% Cotton velveteen skirt 1980s Tangiers skirt cut with hourglass hips in the vintage style. The photos came out pretty bad and I couldn't capture the details very well. I'll try to explain it as well as I can. There is a 1.5" waistband that closes at the back with a self-covered button. There is a back nylon set-in zipper. The front of the skirt has two diagonal banded slit pockets built into the front near the hips . There is darting from the waist in the front and back. There is a banded back pocket with a self-covered button at the right side. There is a 5" back kick pleat. The real joy of this piece of fashion history is the lush cotton velveteen that is almost completely extinct! It is rich and soft with a beautiful matt finish. The skirt is fully lined. It is beautifully made with all the seams expertly finished as you would expect from a fine maker in the 1970s when standard were high. It is an iconic style that will never go out of fashion.
Measurements: 28" at the waist,  38" at the hip, 21" in length. There is no give to this fabric. The label says, "Tangiers - Shell 100% Cotton - Lining 100% Acetate - 11 - Made Hong Kong - RN 69470 - CA 04490" with washing instructions on the back.
