    PacketShaper 4000 is the first system to use Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), rather than queuing techniques to allocate and manage bandwidth on LAN, WAN and Internet connections up to 45 megabits per second. It allocates bandwidth to inbound and outbound traffic classified by URL, application, protocol, TCP port and IP address. By not forming queues, which force two applications in a single class to compete for capacity, packet loss and retransmission are avoided. Further, PacketShaper 4000 does not require new protocols, standards, topologies or hardware changes to integrate seamlessly into existing networks.
