These are the "suction" seals used on all CDS machines and Ultra machines as a secondary seal to back up potential leakage past the primary auger shaft seal.  They fit between the auger and the cooling drum and "suction" onto the cooling drum.  Ideally the seal will stick to the cooling drum and the auger shaft will pass through it, the seal will stay stationary and the auger will turn inside it.  We recommend putting a thin bit of Lubri-Film plus lubricant on the shaft before inserting the seal over the shaft (lubricates the shaft inside the seal), and using the slightest bit of the same lubricant on the flat part of the seal to help it stick to the cooling drum.  Sometimes the seal will stick better without lubricant on the flat part -- check yours for the best installation method (remember the best fit is when the seal does not rotate).
Unlike some competitors that sell "Generic" parts from an unknown vendor, these are genuine Bunn parts backed by Bunn's parts warranty.  You don't get that support from used or "generic" parts.
You receive two seals with each purchase.
Bunn recommends replacing these seals every six months.  Bunn used to include these in the periodic maintenance kits but they stopped doing so a few years ago.
