We believe these are the last two new factory CDS-2 compressors available anywhere!
This is a factory-new compressor for the Bunn CDS-2 frozen beverage machine.  The photo above is for the CDS-3, we didn't want to open the box for a picture.  This unit is designed for R-22 refrigerant.  Bunn no longer offers this compressor for sale (CDS-2 is "Obsolete"), and this is the last of them.
The Bunn frozen beverage machines are hearty and reliable beasts -- they do a great job, are easy to use, easy to maintain and repair and will last for years and years.  But eventually the compressor will give out.  Remember that parts for the CDS-2 are considered obsolete by Bunn, so you know your machine has had many years and thousands of hours of use.  These compressors are so hearty that Bunn gave the original purchaser of these machines a five year compressor warranty.
Installation of this compressor requires an EPA-certified refrigerant technician to recover the refrigerant in the system, cut out the old compressor, silver-solder the copper refrigerant tubing into the new compressor, pull a vacuum on the refrigerant system to insure the system is sealed and to remove contaminants, and then recharge with the proper amount of new R-22 refrigerant.  We reccomend you also install a new filter/dryer (available in our store).
