    Description

    This is a genuine antique item acquired from the Coles County Historical Society of Illinois.  This black wool women's skirt has a tag from the maker "Princess" Make Louisville, KY.  There is a textured stripe in the fabric (similar to a herringbone pattern).  It is estimated to be circa 1890s-1910s.  There are buttons and kick pleats, but I might not have the skirt centered properly on the mannequin.  I believe this skirt could accommodate a small bustle, but I am not certain.  Waist 24", length 38", hips 46" (open).  In good vintage condition with some wear on the covered buttons, but fresh from decades of storage, please clean professionally before use.
