In a naturally 'distressed' mottled tea dyed color (I soaked this skirt in oxyclean then dyed it with Earl Gray tea), there is a charming iridescent mother of pearl button at the back waist. The waist band is lightly gathered underneath and the hem flounce has a crochet lace ribbon banding on top of it (you choose the ribbon color, and it's easy to re-ribbon using a safety pin to draw the ribbon through the lace), with three beautiful bands of soft cotton floral lace. A lot of hand stitch in this petticoat skirt, and the only small flaws are two little holes in the lace trim which can be stitched up, and a tiny tear at the bottom of the vent below the button closure which can also be re stitched. These are easy fixes. There are two tiny tattered silk rosettes off to one side on the skirt. Great for as a summer skirt, or wear with your Magnolia Pearl aprons! 27 waist, 42 hips with a length of 28 inches.
